On the 11th (today), SM Entertainment, the management office of "aespa," announced, "We apologize for any defamatory comments related to our artist "aespa."
"We will inform you of the progress of legal action against malicious posts and comments that cause harm, insults, and sexual harassment," the company said. "We are taking appropriate measures based on the information provided by our fans and our own models.
Through monitoring, we have been collecting evidence of malicious posts and comments against "aespa," and based on this, we are filing charges of insult, defamation, and the editing and dissemination of false videos.
"A number of the defendants have been identified and investigations are underway, and some have been referred to the prosecution and have received disciplinary action from the court," the company said.
We will continue to take strong action and measures against those who upload malicious posts, videos, images, etc. to AESPA, both in Korea and abroad."
They added, "We will continue to do our best to protect the rights of our artists."
