Former South Korean official: ”False impeachment of acting president who is not guilty of treason”... ”Dismiss immediately”

On the 6th, Won Hee-ryong, former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, wrote to the Constitutional Court, "The impeachment trial of Acting President Han Deok-soo, whose grounds for impeachment no longer exist, must be immediately dismissed."
Former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won said on Fei Subook that morning, "Just like the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, the reasons for the impeachment of Acting President Han are as follows.
"The 'crime of treason' has been removed from the impeachment bill. This is, in a word, a 'fake impeachment.'" He continued, "The Constitutional Court has ignored the fairness of the process and taken a forceful approach in impeaching the president.
"The Constitutional Court lost the public's trust by rushing to resolve this issue," he said. "Suspicions were raised about the Constitutional Court's intentions in postponing this issue.
"The Constitutional Court must immediately dismiss Acting President Han's request for impeachment trial and regain at least some of the public's trust," he said.
