The two actors proved their identity befitting of 'IDENTITY' the title of the concert.
This concert was a commemorative performance in which Jaejoong and Junsu breathed together on stage for the first time in a long time, and the two, who had walked together for 20 years on their musical journey, were expected to announce the start of a new beginning that they would draw together again on their own. The power of ‘JX’ was proven by the long queues of fans waiting for the sales at the site. Jaejoong and Junsu answered the audience's expectations with their live performances that were worth listening to and a variety of compositions and performances. In addition, six veteran band sessions, 17 dance crew members including choreographer Jung Geunyoung for the first time in 20 years, and three chorus members completed the performance with even higher quality.
JX drew cheers from the opening with performances of mega-hit songs such as “Rising Sun” and ’O, Jung, Ban, Hap'. They told the fans "We were nervous because we hadn't sung in a while, but everyone was happy and was able to enjoy ourselves more comfortably. We were able to see what they had dreamed of, so so worked hard and never gave up. It was all thanks to the fans."
The underlying strength of Jaejoong and Junsu, who have been at the top of the K-pop scene for more than 20 years, was confirmed on stage. Junsu performed ‘Tarangallegra’, ‘Flower’ and ‘ROCK THE WORLD’, while Jaejoong showed off his skills on the solo stages of ‘Devotion’, ‘Summer J’ and ‘Glorious Day’. He also performed J-Pop stages such as ‘Stand By U’ and ‘Proud’ for the global fans who visited the site, stimulating plenty of nostalgia for the past and bringing tears to fans' eyes.
The brilliant VCR video, which signified the identity of both artists, also attracted attention. Jaejoong and Junsu moved the hearts of fans with the best visuals that evoked cheers from the entire audience.
After increasing the excitement with ‘Spell - MIROTIC’, ‘JX’ appeared on the encore stage again and conveyed a deep afterglow with their epic performance of their debut song ‘HUG’, ‘Balloons’ and even ‘Love In The Ice’.
Finally, Jaejoong said, "The stories I couldn't tell before are blended into the music, and the bitterness seems to dissolve as I sing. I feel more moved by the happiness of being together than by the sad and lonely feelings I had before", he revealed his heartfelt thoughts with tears. Junsu also sang ‘Don't Say Goodbye’ together with his fans and said, "This is like a dream moment. I feel like I'm back in those days because I'm singing with my brother Jaejoong. It's a complicated and delicate memory, but I'm honoured because I had that time so I can be with you all now. I hope to see you all again in the future, even after more generations have passed", he expressed his sincerity.
In response, fans, as well as numerous industry insiders and reporters, gave positive feedback on ‘IDENTITY’, confirming the influence of ‘JX’. Jaejoong and Junsu not only achieved a performance that had never been done before, but also shone with the meaning of ‘all seats sold out’ and an all-time class live performance, drawing a new meaningful record. In particular, Jaejoong and Junsu's devotion to their fans and the stage over a long period of time has set an example for the K-pop scene as a whole.
The performance was completed as a symbolic occasion for Jaejoong and Junsu to celebrate their 20 years of music history as artists with their fans, look back on the path they have taken and pledge to take a new leap forward. 30,000 people sobbed as they reconfirmed the strong bond with their fans who have worked hard together for a long time, and also showed the significance of their footsteps in music.
