[Press conference report] Kazuta (n.SSign) talks about his goals in Japan: ”To be number one on the Oricon charts, to perform on big stages like the Dome and the Red and White Song Battle”
On May 15th, the boy band "n.SSign" held the "n.SSign JAPAN FANMEETING 'Happy &'" at Toyosu Pit in Tokyo.
produced by ABEMA" and the members' charm burst out in the mission corner and energetic performance, filling the venue with excitement for COSMO (fan name).
After the fan meeting, a press conference was held. Q. What are your thoughts on your first performance of "FUNK JAM"? Kazuta: "FUNK
"JAM" was the second title song, but it was the first time it was released in Japan, so I think everyone at COSMO was happy with it. The only sexy part in the song is
It's included in the album, and for me it's the song that suits me best and is the easiest to perform, so I was really happy to be able to show it to all the COSMO members in Japan.
Heewon: "FUNK JAM" was a genre we had never sung before, so in a way it was a challenge for us. We had to think hard about the choreography during recording.
When learning the song, all the members had fun, and when they saw the finished music video, they all agreed that it was really well done.
It's a song that I have a lot of memories of, and I'm glad that everyone at COSMO liked it. Lawrence: I thought it was a little different from the performance in Korea. On stage
When I listened to it, I felt that everyone's voices sounded a little different. Q. What were your thoughts on the public recording of "Dohaji K-POP Club"?
Junhyuk: It's been a while since we last had a sports day, and it brought back old memories.
The staff really did a lot of preparation so that we could show you a variety of different sides of ourselves. I think it was a great time for everyone at COSMO to see all of these different sides of us.
Eddie: It was my first time playing a sports-like game, and it was really fun. And the reactions of the COSMO members were so good that I'll never forget this day.
I think it will be an unforgettable memory. I was happy. Q. Half of 2024 is about to pass in the blink of an eye. What kind of activities will "n.SSign" be doing in the second half of 2024?
Kazuta: Are you already halfway there? It's gone so quickly. We haven't even won first place in Korea yet, and we still have a lot to accomplish.
There are so many things to aim for, so we want to climb them one by one. Our goal is to be number one on Korean music shows. And we also want to be number one on the Oricon charts in Japan.
I hope that we will become even more popular in the future and be able to perform on big stages, such as at the Dome or the Red and White Song Battle. Q. "KCON 2024
What are your thoughts about appearing on "KCON JAPAN"? Kazuta: I've been watching KCON since I was in Okinawa, so I was really excited when I first saw "KCON".
I was surprised when I held the microphone with that written on it, and honestly thought, "I'm going to KCON." Also, the COSMO members came to support me so that I wouldn't be intimidated at KCON.
They gave us confidence with their loud cheers, so I felt that even when we went to even bigger stages, COSMO would be by our side.
Robin: It was my first time performing on stage at KCON so I was really nervous and worried, but I was happy because there were so many COSMO members there.
I hope that someday, fans of our seniors who are not fans of n.SSign will come to see us as n.SSign fans, because we showed n.SSign to them.
Lawrence: I've been watching KCON for a while now, so I'm very honored to be able to perform here. I hope that one day I can perform at KCONs overseas as well as in Japan.
Q. It has been two years since you appeared on "Youth Star" in 2022. How have you changed and grown in the past two years?
Song Yun: When I went on stage for "Youth Star", I was so...
I was so nervous that I made a lot of mistakes and I didn't have any time to spare, but now that I'm with the members of "n.SSign" and have performed in many concerts, I have more time to spare.
Now I feel like concerts are like home. Junhyuk: When I was on "Youth Star," I was trying to win, but now I feel like I'm at home with the audience and COSMO.
Q. What would you like to do in Japan in the future?
Hanjun: Regarding what I would like to do in Japan in the future,
I have had the opportunity to do many activities in Japan. One thing I definitely want to do is a Dome Concert. I would also love to perform at the Red and White Song Battle.
Ed: I'd love to go to Universal Studios Japan.
Kazuta: Hanjun said it all for me (laughs). Heewon: Personally, I think "New
I made my Japanese debut with the song "Star", so I released the Japanese version of "Wormhole" and "New Star".
"Star" was the only two songs we had, but if we were to make a comeback next time, we would like to release a mini album of original Japanese songs. Q. Finally, please give a message to your Japanese fans.
Seongyun: Today's concert at Toyosu Pit was a great memory for us, but we're so grateful to our fans for creating so many good memories for us.
I will continue to work hard as n.S.sign. I love you. Hanjun: Thank you for your efforts to make it possible for us to hold a concert at an arena. And we are fans.
I'm grateful that we were able to hold this meeting. We've said "I like you" and "I love you" a lot, so I think the fans understand that.
I think you all love us so much. We will always do our best on stage as n.SSign and repay your love. Thank you.
Robin: I had a great time at this Fan Meeting. I want to say thank you so much, and I hope to continue supporting "n.
