ミン・ヒジンADOR代表激怒、「『NewJeans』は歴史的実績を出したがHYBEは私を裏切った」…経営権奪取疑惑を全面反論
ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin is furious: ”NewJeans achieved historic results, but HYBE betrayed me” - fully refutes allegations of seizure of management rights
Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, who owns the group NewJeans, was furious at the allegations of HYBE taking over management control.
An emergency press conference was held at the Korea Conference Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 25th in connection with the allegations of rights theft.
Prior to this, HYBE had planned their own actions after securing management rights.
During the investigation, one of the audit subjects submitted information assets as evidence, including a plan to seize control of the company and information on contacting outside investors, and as a result, the company began investigating the possibility of HYBE being attacked.
Based on the physical evidence they have secured, HYBE plans to file charges of professional embezzlement against Min Hee-jin and other related parties with the investigative authorities.
In relation to this, Min Hee-jin's side has countered with HYBE's "allegations of copying 'NewJeans'". On the same day, Min stated that she has never attempted to steal management rights.
Min Hee-jin, who even openly vented her nasty words, responded by saying that HYBE had manipulated the conversations on Messenger and framed them to insult her.
From the launch and promotion of "Yoongi", he was faced with difficulties due to the obstruction and restraint of HYBE executives such as Bang Si Hyuk and Park Ji Won, and he was constantly complaining about the company and engaging in daily conversations.
Min was furious that HYBE was engaged in a public opinion battle, accusing them of trying to take over management. Min said, "I think HYBE betrayed me. I used them as much as I wanted, and then I didn't need them anymore, so I just did what they told me to do.
It feels like a frame to put pressure on us without listening to what we have to say. I would like to know when you started thinking like this.
No one has ever achieved such results. But isn't it a breach of trust to try to put pressure on the president of an affiliate company that has a good track record and is serving shareholders well?"
She also said, "Park Ji-won asked me not to promote 'New Jeans' until 'LE SSERAFIM' comes out. So Min Hee-ji
"They have to give the impression that they are a girl group from the same company. I don't know who is who. Is that even possible?" he said, citing rampant dishonesty within HYBE and the shareholders' agreement.
Regarding the renegotiation, he said, "There is a contradiction in the contract. I kept it tightly so that I couldn't sell it. I was told that I had a 20% stake, but I gave 2% to my employees, so I have 18%. This is the economic situation.
"They say that X (word withheld) will usurp our operating rights, but when they exercise this right, it is like a slave contract with me," he said.
Min Hee-jin, who had previously raised suspicions that ILLIT had plagiarized "New Jeans," said, "ILLIT
I'm not trying to slander them. What sin did those kids commit? The problem is the adults," he said. "Everyone can have straight hair. The problem is that they copied the production formula too much."
That is to say. People may say that there is something wrong with the documents left behind, but it is natural for ADOR to compare them. Not doing so would be considered breach of trust. Why are they pursuing this so much?
What makes me sad is why they did a multi-label label. They should have just done it like SM and YG do. Why do they do a multi-label label that looks good but don't show their individuality?" he emphasized.
CEO Min said, "The reason I hate this is because it makes kids who try to imitate others feel even more frustrated when they don't succeed. Why do they worry? If it works, they can just copy it.
It will be bad for NewJeans and bad for these kids in the long run. It will ruin their livelihood. Pointing this out will save their livelihood."
I think these are the things that need to be improved. We need to change things one by one," he said, pointing out problems throughout the industry.
He also explained the situation with NewJeans. CEO Min said, "NewJeans and I are in the same relationship as you all think.
"Yesterday, HANI said, 'CEO, it's really hard. Where are you? I'll come.' That's what they're like. HYERI is a quiet girl. She's originally a very cat-like girl.
But he called me on video in the middle of the night. He wanted to send me a text but couldn't find the words. He called because he wanted to hear my voice. This is what it's like to raise a child.
I thought that was the case, and Hye In cried more than I did for the entire 20 minutes. She said she was going crazy because she couldn't help her even though she helped her when she was in a difficult situation.
"I told him I wanted to talk to him about it," he said, adding that both the members and his parents were concerned about him. Min also commented on HYBE's multi-label system, saying, "I think Si Hyuk should step down.
"I think so," he said. "Isn't it the chairman? Our label, Pledis, ZICO's KOZ, BELIFT LAB, SOURCE MUSIC, BIGHIT
MUSIC is produced by Si Hyuk. If the chairman takes the lead, people will be able to act on their own. Other labels do weird things to impress the chairman. SM has that problem too.
It is a problem of human nature. To prevent such problems from arising, the highest decision-making authority must be at the top. I thought they were trying to kill New Jeans.
"I wanted to make use of it with that spirit. It goes beyond just copying, and the previous branding becomes a fixture. Why would I do that inside?"
