A former representative of SPIRE Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as 'SPIRE'), the former agency of the group 'OMEGA X', held a press conference in relation to the indecent assault case.

The SPIRE side held a press conference at a certain place in Gangnam, Seoul, today (19th March) and announced, "We will inform that a former representative Kang is a victim, not a perpetrator, of the indecent assault case and at the same time, we will reveal the truth and lies about what has happened so far."

The SPIRE side said, "Although a certain former representative Kang is a victim himself, he did not want to make a young 'OMEGA X' member a sex offender and hesitated to file criminal charges and disclose his speech until now" and "However, as time goes by, the speculation towards the victim (a certain former representative Kang) has gone too far, and we cannot bury the truth any more. However, as time went by, the speculation against the victim (a former representative Kang) became more and more extreme, and we decided to courageously disclose the security and surveillance camera where the indecent assault took place."

The press conference is scheduled to continue with an announcement of the position of SPIRE representative Hwang Seong-woo, the release of the security and surveillance camera footage, and a question and answer session.

In 2022, the members of OMEGA X revealed that they had been subjected to habitual sexual harassment, verbal abuse and assault by representative Kang, and filed an application for a provisional disposition to suspend the validity of their exclusive contract. Since then, 'OMEGA X' has been active in their new company, IPQ, after winning the lawsuit and parting ways with SPIRE.
