Actor Ji Chang Wook and singer Meenoi, Shin Hye Sun and cat next door... criticized for indoor smoking
From actor Ji Chang Wook to singer Meenoi, they have all been criticised due to the indoor smoking fiasco. Fans and the public are becoming increasingly disappointed by the inappropriate and inconsiderate behaviour.

Ji Chang Wook caused a stir when he was caught smoking indoors in the making-of footage of JTBC drama 'Welcome to Samdalli', which was released on 26th of last month. At the time of smoking, Ji Chang-wook's fellow actors and staff members, including lead actor Shin Hye-sung, were sitting next to him, making the public opinion of the accusation even louder.

On the 11th, his agency Spring Company announced on its official website, "During the making-of contents, there is a scene in which actor Ji Chang Wook uses an electronic cigarette in the room. It was an inappropriate scene and caused discomfort to the viewers" and apologised, saying, "Ji Chang Wook also recognised that it was an inappropriate behaviour and apologised for the disappointment it caused to many people."

Thee continued, "Through this incident, we will pay extra attention so that the inappropriate behaviour will not be repeated" and added, "Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by this incident".

Singer Meenoi has been accused of smoking indoors during the so-called 'Tears Live'. In particular, it was also known that Meenoi owns a cat, which led to more accusations.

At the end of Meenoi's live broadcast in her workroom on the 5th, an ashtray containing cigarettes and cigarette butts on a table was seen on screen. A bewildered Meenoi said, "I smoked so hard, I don't even know anymore". She said, "I'm embarrassed but grateful if you love me in this way".

The live broadcast of Tears then attracted a lot of attention, but some pointed out the problem of passive smoking by her cat, which strongly criticised Meenoi. It has been pointed out that cats are bad for their health because of passive smoking caused by indoor smoking or by ingesting toxic substances on their body surfaces when they are groomed.
