WHO "COVID19 vaccine booster only for high-risk groups every 6 to 12 months"
The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a recommendation that only high-risk groups, including the elderly, should receive a booster vaccination against the COVID-19 virus infection once every June to December.

On March 28th (local time), WHO announced that it had revised the priority roadmap for vaccination against the COVID-19 virus after review by the Advisory Group of Experts on Vaccination (SAGE), and released a draft recommendation. After completing the basic two doses and one additional dose (booster shot), only high-risk groups should be periodically vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.

This recommendation is the result of comprehensive consideration of the high vaccination rate worldwide, the reduction of the fatality of COVID-19 virus infection, and the cost-effectiveness of vaccinating healthy adults, adolescents and children.

WHO found that for healthy children and adolescents, the benefits of vaccination against the COVID-19 virus infection are relatively much lower than those of mandatory vaccines such as rotavirus and measles vaccines.
