China's Guizhou Province, famous for its cherry blossoms, "Sakura Garden" hot air balloon falls... Fanned by strong winds = China report
A hot air balloon fell into a lake in a cherry blossom garden in Guizhou, China.

An event was held at the cherry blossom garden to enjoy the cherry blossoms from above in a hot air balloon, but on the afternoon of March 21st, the rising balloon was blown by strong winds and lost control and fell onto the lake.

A video posted online shows the hot air balloon falling on the water surface and being pushed several meters above the water due to strong winds.

On the evening of the 21st, a person connected with Oukaen told the local media outlet, "People's Newspaper," that "the hot air balloon is outsourced to an outside company, so we don't know the specific situation."

"At the time of the accident, seven tourists were on board the hot air balloon, but all of them were safely rescued," said a government official in the district where the accident occurred. The company that operated the hot air balloon is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

The cherry blossom garden covers an area of about 1,600 hectares and is home to nearly 700,000 cherry blossom trees.
