A representative of a major small home appliance importer and seller was charged with using drugs while holding his one-month-old son and claiming that he was in "early education".

On March 15th, the National Police Agency's Women and Youth Criminal Investigation Unit filed a case against a manufacturer representative, Suspect A, on suspicion of violating the Child Welfare Act (emotional child abuse).

Suspect A is suspected of inviting two acquaintances to his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul in September 2021 and smoking liquid cannabis. At the time, suspect A was smoking marijuana while holding his one-month-old son and telling his acquaintances that it was an early education.

Suspect A's family submitted a complaint to the police on the 15th of this month. Police are investigating Suspect A on suspicion of violating the Child Welfare Act.
