Wildfire in Gangwon-do ... Four helicopters put out the fire = Korea

Around 3:45 pm on March 18th, a wildfire broke out in the mountains near Baekjeon-ri, Hwaam-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, and the forestry authorities deployed helicopters to extinguish the fire.

According to the forestry authorities, 4 helicopters, 16 units of equipment, and 73 firefighters have been deployed to extinguish the wildfire on this day.

It was found that the forest fire started in a pine nut factory near the mountains in Hwaam-myeon and spread to the forest.

Winds of 4 meters per second were blowing at the wildfire site. The forestry authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the scale of the damage as well as extinguishing the fire.
