Kim Jong-un visits "Mars artillery unit" with daughter = South Korea
North Korean leader Kim Jung-un visited the Mars artillery unit on the Western Front on March 9th and gave on-the-spot guidance on the launch of ballistic missiles. Accompanied by his daughter, Kim Joo-ae, Kim visited the launch site of the 'new tactical guided weapon' which is a short-range ballistic missile (SRBM), and ordered an overwhelming response.

According to North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on the 10th, General Secretary Kim attended a fire attack training after giving on-site guidance to the Mars Infantry Unit, which is in charge of important operational missions on the Korean People's Army's Western Front. It also judged and censored the practical readiness of the 8th Fire Assault Company, which is under the military unit in charge of enemy (South Korean) operational airfields on the Western Front.

The Korean Central News Agency said, "The firepower assault squadron, which has been honing its ability to perform strike missions with a sure and thorough readiness to suppress any military movement of the enemy at once, was set up by imagining the main elements of the enemy's operational airfield. By firing a powerful volley into the target waters in the West Sea (Yellow Sea) of Korea, we confidently demonstrated our practical response capabilities."

In addition, Kim expressed his satisfaction with the results of the training, saying, "The Mars artillerymen are powerfully and rigorously prepared for practical use. We must be prepared to do so, and we have demonstrated a serious sense of mission that we must take responsibility for practical actions rather than words, as well as a clear, practical, and flawless will for military action", he said.

On the other hand, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 9th that North Korea fired several SRBMs from the area around Nampo toward the Yellow Sea.
