Danish parliament: Don't use China's TikTok
The Associated Press reported that on February 28th (local time), the Danish parliament strongly advised against using the TikTok app, a Chinese video-sharing platform.

"Emails have been sent to all lawmakers and staff urging them to remove the TikTok app installed on their business devices," parliamentary spokeswoman Soren Garde said on the same day.

The move follows a Danish intelligence agency's decision that TikTok could be misused for espionage.

This is also a continuation of the recent 'withdrawal' procedures for TikTok by countries, mainly in the West, for cybersecurity reasons.

Last December, the US Congress passed a bill barring federal employees from using TikTok on government-owned devices. It issued a directive to remove TikTok from all equipment and systems within days.

The Executive Committee of the European Union (EU) also announced on the 23rd that it would ban the use of TikTok on all mobile devices registered with the Executive Committee, and Canada and Japan also issued policies to ban the use of shared government devices.
