Thai drug lord arrested after evading police investigation by 'getting plastic surgery to look like a handsome Korean man' & 'changing name to Korean-style name Jeon Jimin' = Korea coverage
A man in his 20s who was dealing drugs in Bangkok, Thailand was arrested by the police. It is said that the man had a Korean-style name and that he was able to pass through the net by methods such as plastic surgery like a Korean man.

According to Thai media on February 26th (local time), in December last year, the Bangkok police arrested a man who called himself a 25-year-old 'Korean' called Jung Jimin at a condominium in the city.

The appearance was completely different from the existing montage, but as a result of the police investigation, he turned out to be Sarahat Sawangjaeng, a so-called Thai drug lord.

The man is suspected of ordering DMDA from Europe to Thailand through the Internet and then selling it in Bangkok.

Last November, Thai customs found 290 DMDA tablets that the man had ordered from Europe. Police were quickly issued an arrest warrant but failed to arrest him.

Police then tracked down the man through a sting operation.

There was a reason the police had difficulty finding the man. The man had changed his name to a Korean name and had undergone plastic surgery to avoid being tracked.

Police used a montage in their pursuit of the man. The man had three criminal records, but the montage itself was meaningless.

A police officer who was mobilized at the time of the arrest said, "There is no trace of his original face."

Local police believe the man is a key figure in spreading drugs in Bangkok. The police chief said, "Although he is only 25 years old, he is a drug lord who imports DMDA. We will continue the investigation as we see that there are more suspects abroad."
