Rally in downtown Seoul "Lee Jae-myung refuses arrest warrant for Democratic Party leader" = Korea
A rally to denounce the prosecution was held in downtown Seoul on February 25th, two days before the National Assembly voted on the motion to approve the arrest of the leader of the Democratic Party (opposition) together with Lee Jae-myung.

The civic group 'Candle Victory Transformation Action' held a candlelight rally in the afternoon on the main street leading from Seoul's City Hall Station to Sungnyemun Gate.

According to the organizer's estimate, about 20,000 participants said in one voice, "We refuse to issue an arrest warrant for Lee Jae-myung." Democratic Party lawmakers Kang Deuk-gu, Kim Nam-gook, and Jang Kyung-tae also attended the rally.

Rep. Chang stepped up to the podium and said, "Representative Lee has already been investigated several times."

On one side of the rally, Yoon Seo-gyul (Yoon Seok-yeol's Retirement College Student Movement Headquarters) put up a 'retreat curse' on President Yoon Seo-yeol's photo.

They finished their rally around Sungnyemun and marched around the Myeongdong entrance, the Euljiro station intersection, and the Gwanghwamun area.

Meanwhile, the civic group 'People of Justice' and the New Liberty Alliance held rival rallies near Sungnyemun and in the Samgak area of Yongsan, prompting an investigation into Lee's arrest.
