Putin Meets Wang Yi "Waiting for Xi's Visit"
Russian President Vladimir Putin once again emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries, saying, "We are waiting for the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping," to Wang Yi, a member of the Chinese Communist Party’s Foreign Policy Bureau who is visiting Russia.

According to Reuters and other sources, Putin told Politburo member Wang Yi, who was visiting the Kremlin Palace, "I'm glad to see you in Moscow. Please convey my regards to President Xi."

Putin said, "Russia hopes that China and Russia will carry out their talks with President Xi. This will spur the development of bilateral relations." and "The cooperation between the two countries is very important."

"The relationship between the two countries is developing continuously as planned. Our cooperation is drawing new milestones," he said, adding, "This year, trade between the two countries will reach a new stage. Goals for 2024. There are ample grounds for achieving the $200 billion trade scale, earlier than planned."

Politburo member Wang Yi responded, "President Xi wanted to convey his best regards," showing his willingness to strengthen relations between the two countries.

On December 30th, President Putin proposed strengthening military cooperation between the two countries through an online meeting with President Xi, and invited President Xi to visit Moscow this spring.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on January 30th that "President Xi's visit will be the centrepiece of the theme of both countries this year."
