Korean Prof Holds “Dokdo Market” on “Takeshima Day”… “Opportunity to Use Related Products in Real Life”
Seo Kyung-deok, a professor at Sungshin Women's University, will open an online "Dokdo (Korean name for Takeshima) market" with TMON on February 21st, coinciding with Japan's "Takeshima Day".

'Takeshima Day' is a memorial day established by Shimane Prefecture by ordinance and falls on February 22nd.

Professor Seo said, "Shimane Prefecture is accelerating the development of various products, such as subsidizing half of the cost for local businesses that have developed special products related to Takeshima. There are a variety of good-quality Dokdo products on the market, but the publicity is not going well, and we are having difficulties.”

"Dokdo Market" is designed to support social enterprises and startups that have difficulty selling various products related to Dokdo (Takeshima), and to connect with net users who want to purchase products.

Professor Seo said, "I wanted to help small merchants and provide consumers with an opportunity to use Dokdo products in their daily lives."

This time, 'Dokdo Market' introduces about 20 types of products, including T-shirts, cup sets, figure keyring, and maps.
