Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center held a press conference on the afternoon of January 31st, announcing that it would cancel the COVID-19 virus testing for mainland Chinese arrivals from February 7th.

Wang Yisheng, the center's commander, said that the positive rate of people entering the country from mainland China dropped from 25% to about 2% per day and that it would continue to remain at a low level. He explained that he had decided to cancel the inspection measures for immigrants.
