China's total population by 2022 "1,411.75M" down 850k from previous year = Chinese coverage
China's National Bureau of Statistics announced on January 17th that by the end of 2022, China's total population will be 1,411.75 million, down 850,000 from the end of 2022. Foreign nationals residing in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China are not included in the total population count.

The number of births in 2022 will be 9.56 million, and the fertility rate (number of births per 1,000 population) will be 6.77%. On the other hand, the number of deaths was 10.41 million, and the mortality rate (number of deaths per 1,000 population) was 7.37%, exceeding the number of births.

The total population by sex was 722.06 million males and 689.69 females.

By age group, there are 87556 people between the ages of 16 and 59, known as the "working age," accounting for 62% of the total population. The population over the age of 65 was 209.78 million, accounting for 14.9% of the total population.
