Explosion caused by gas leak in Zhejiang, China : Chinese coverage
Two people were injured in a gas explosion at a house in Zhejiang, China.

On the night of January 7th, a gas explosion occurred at a house in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. A subsequent investigation by the gas company found that a rubber gas pipe connected to the gas stove had been damaged, and it is believed that the gas was leaking from there.

According to investigators, the damage to the rubber pipe is presumed to have been caused by a mouse chewing on it.

A resident near the scene of the accident said, "The sound of the explosion shook the windows of the house."

Two elderly people were injured in the explosion and are being treated at a nearby hospital.
