Worker in his 50s died after falling 3 meters below ski lift

An electrical worker in his 50s fell to his death at a ski resort in YONG PYONG RESORT, Gangwon, Pyeongchang, South Korea.

According to South Korean police and other sources on January 11th, at around 10:50 a.m. that day, Mr. A (51), who is an electrician, fell three meters below the lift platform at the top of the slope.

He was taken to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest and received treatment, but later died.

Mr. A was visiting this place with other workers to repair the lift communication cable at the midpoint of the slope.

He was confirmed to have fallen when he was about to board the lift to manage and supervise the work.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
