Korean presidential office gives Korean MBC reporter permission to board private plane during President Yoon's visit to UAE and Switzerland
On January 12th, the South Korean president's office will allow a South Korean MBC reporter to board the private plane of President Yoon Seo-gyeol, who is leaving for an eight-day tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Switzerland from the 14th.

During President Yoon's visit to Cambodia and Indonesia in November last year, the president's office notified reporters from MBC South Korea that they would not be allowed to board private planes. Controversy arose in political circles.

At the end of September of the same year, MBC distorted the remarks of President Yoon, who visited New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly. That was the reason why the president's office denied boarding because it harmed the national interest.

On the other hand, the president of South Korea uses a special aircraft, "Air Force No. 1," when he visits overseas. It was customary for the press corps in charge to accompany them. Each media will bear the cost of the round trip, including the boarding of a dedicated plane.
