Chinese authorities dispatch "working team" to local governments = supervise "COVID epidemic situation"

While demonstrations by residents protesting against the "Zero-COVID" policy are taking place in Beijing and Shanghai, etc. in China, the Chinese authorities are showing moves to impose responsibility on each local government.

On November 28th, according to the Chinese government-run English-language newspaper "Global Times" and other sources, the Chinese epidemic prevention authorities, the "National Health Commission" and the "Center for Disease Control and Prevention", have notified each local government of the COVID-19 virus infection prevention status. A working group was dispatched to each local government to supervise the quarantine status of the new coronavirus infection

At the beginning of this month, the State Council of China announced 20 policies under the name of "scientific quarantine and precision quarantine", including shortening the quarantine period of close contacts and self-restraint of large-scale blockades. It seems that it is judged that the demonstration occurred this time because it has not been fulfilled.

The Global Times explained, "Working groups dispatched to local governments will play a role in intensively inspecting local governments' epidemic prevention policies and correcting wrong policies."
