COVID-19 deaths for the first time in 6 months... 20k people infected every day = China
For the first time in six months since May, China reported a death from the COVID-19 virus.

According to the Beijing Daily, an 87-year-old man died in the capital Beijing on November 20th, while 621 new cases, including 552 asymptomatic cases, occurred on the 19th. The man developed a cough on the 11th and tested positive for the COVID-19 virus two days later. After that, the underlying disease worsened and he died. The Beijing Daily reported that it was the first reported death in China since the death was confirmed in Shanghai on May 26th.

Meanwhile, China's National Health Commission announced on the same day that the number of new infections in mainland China on November 19th was 24,215, including 22,011 asymptomatic cases. By region, there were 9,538 new cases in Guangdong, 4,710 in Chongqing, and 1,218 in Henan. Authorities in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, have announced that they will extend the lockdown in Haizhu District, which has been in place since the end of last month, until the 22nd, as the number of infected people has not been reduced.
