President Zelensky "The end of the war can only be achieved by regaining the Crimean peninsula"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has hinted that he may embark on direct negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, but said "Only by recapturing the Crimean peninsula, which was forcibly annexed, can the war, which has continued for nine months, come to an end."

Ukraine, which is said to have the upper hand in the recent war situation, seems to be embarking on 'a tactic of both peace and war' based on its confidence.

In an online speech at the New Economic Forum held in Singapore on November 17th (local time), President Zelensky said, "I will not be fooled by simple deceptions such as Russia's offer of a ceasefire."

"The war will end with the complete recapture of Crimea and Donbass (Donetsk-Lukhansk)," President Zelensky said, adding that "states within states within these territories are also Ukrainian sovereign territories within Ukrainian borders."

Prior to the speech, President Zelensky told reporters in Ukraine that he had implied that Putin wanted direct negotiations.
