Takefusa Kubo cheers for Lee Kang-in "He wished me good luck...I will do the same"
The Japanese players of the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup (World Cup) who defeated Germany, wished good luck to South Korea ahead of their first match against Uruguay.

On the 23rd (Japan time), Japan came from behind to beat Germany 2-1 in the first match of Group E of the Qatar World Cup 1st Round held at the Khalifa International Stadium. Saudi Arabia defeated Argentina 2-1 on the previous day, creating an 'abnormality', followed by 'Asian gusts' for the second day in a row.

Takefusa Kubo, who is active in Spain's La Liga-Real Sociedad, also touched Lee Kang-in, who played together in Mallorca, and prayed for the victory of South Korea. Kubo said, "Yesterday, Lee Kang-in sent me an email and wished me good luck. I will do the same. He is one of my close friends in the soccer world, so I hope he does well."

After the match, Takumi Minamino, a member of the Japanese national team who plays for AS Monaco in France, sent a cheer to South Korea, saying, "I hope Korea wins tomorrow. South Korea has the ability to do something special." Minamino has a connection to play together with Huang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton) in Salzburg, Austria.

Korea Rep. will play their first group league match against South American powerhouse Uruguay at 10:00 pm on the 24th. It is a strong team that passed Noel Guay, who is ranked 14th in the FIFA rankings, and 3rd in the South American regional qualifiers. It consists of world-class players such as Luis Suárez, a star who led Uruguay for the past 10 years, FW Darwin Nunez and MF Federico Valverde.

The Korean national team will be led by captain Son Heung-min, with Kim Min-Jae, Lee Jae-sung, Hwang In-beom and other players who are active in the European leagues.
