Samsung Electronics outperforms Google as 'best global brand'
South Korea's Samsung Electronics took first place in the 2022 Global Top Brand Rankings for the first time, surpassing Google.

Samsung Electronics ranked 4th in the 2017 survey, 3rd in 2018, 4th in 2019, 4th in 2020, and 2nd last year.

Google, which ranked first last year, dropped to second place after Samsung Electronics with 106 points, followed by YouTube (85 points), Netflix (59 points), and Singapore. It became an online shopping mall "Shopee" (51 points).

YouGov surveyed the impression, quality, value, satisfaction, recommendation, and reputation of each brand based on its own brand index evaluation method, and after selecting 380 top 10 brands in 38 markets, ranked No. 1 in each market.
