"ELF Saxophone Contest" held for amateur saxophonists...Grand prize goes to Cho JiyeonI, who performed big hit song = Korea
Cho Jiyeon (Jangwon City) won the grand prize at the 5th ELF Saxophone Contest hosted by ELF and sponsored by YAMAHA and CBS on September 24th at M5 Broadcasting Center in Paju, Gyeonggi-do.

This tournament, which is authoritative for amateur saxophonists as a gateway to becoming a professional, is a tournament organized by a unique ELF accompaniment machine for K-POP and church music to revitalize the saxophone performance market. It is an important process for an armature artist to be recognized as a professional.

A total of 18 groups competed in the Ensemble Division, General Division, Senior Division, and Young Artist Division. In the senior division, Jung Jeong-soon, who performed "Lies" by singer Jo Han-jo, won the grand prize, and in the ensemble division, "Prime Saxophone Choir" won the grand prize. The overall grand prize, which combines the general and middle-aged divisions, was won by Jo Jiyeon, who performed the hit song "Despacito" by singer Luis Fonsi.

Cho Jiyeon, who was praised as "the soprano is dancing", asked for support before the competition, saying, "All instruments in the world are beautiful, but the soprano saxophone feels like a bird is singing." The results were good. He expressed his gratitude for coming out and expressing his impression of winning the grand prize.
