Russian rapper in 20s make extreme choice for Putin's "mobilization order"... "Last way to express protest" = Korean coverage
A man in his 20s who worked as a rapper in Russia committed suicide as Russian President Vladimir Putin recently announced a partial mobilization order of 300,000 people.

According to foreign media on the 3rd, rapper Ivan Vitalyevich Petunin (27), who was active under the name of "Walkie", took his own life on September 30th in protest against the mobilization order.

He reportedly made this choice because he could not be guilty of murder by participating in the barbaric war in Ukraine.

Petunin's body was found near a skyscraper in Krasnodar Oblast, southern Russia.

Petunin, who used to serve in the Russian army, said in a video he left for fans through Telegram, "When you see this video, I won't be alive anymore. I'm not ready to kill somebody." In addition, it was found that a smartphone memo released by an acquaintance also spelled out "the last way to express a protest."

Putin is about to issue the first mobilization order since World War II, sending 300,000 additional soldiers to the front. Local young men are reportedly desperately looking for ways to avoid the conscription.

Along with articles in memory of Petunin, articles denouncing President Putin and the Russian authorities are being posted online one after another.
