Trump 'disappointed with North Korea's missile test' in video of former Unification Church event = Korea coverage
Former U.S. President Donald Trump said he was "disappointed" by North Korea's successive test launches of ballistic missiles this year, arguing that "North Korea must quickly denuclearize."

In a video speech sent to the Summit 2022 and Leadership Conference hosted by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), a former Unification Church-affiliated organization, on August 12th, former President Trump said, "North Korea has conducted 31 missile tests since 2017, including the longest long-range missile" he said.

"Denuclearization should not be North Korea's greatest danger, but its greatest opportunity. "In order to make progress (denuclearization), North Korea must move away from aggression and provocation and continue on the path we left together during (their) tenure," he said.

He also spoke about former President Barack Obama. Former President Trump said, "A few days after the presidential election, former President Obama said that war in North Korea was his greatest fear, and said that war would become a reality," adding, "If the situation does not change, We would have gone to war," he added.

Regarding the attack on Japanese former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, he said, "It was a terrible crime and a death that shocked the whole world."

This year's event washeld at Lotte World Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul from August 11th to 15th under the theme of "realization of a new unified Korea and a permanent peaceful world". The event was held on the continuation of the Korean Peninsula Peace Summit held in February this year, and was held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of former Unification Church President Sun Myung Moon.
