Japanese media, August ASEAN meeting "coordination of Japan-Korea diplomatic ministers' meeting" = Korean coverage
Japanese media reported that the Japanese and South Korean diplomats are coordinating talks at the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) diplomatic ministers' meeting to be held in Cambodia in August.

According to the Yomiuri Shimbun, one go major papers in Japan, on August 30th, Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will attend the ASEAN-related Diplomacy Ministers' Meeting to be held in Cambodia from August 3rd to 5th.

It was reported that the Japanese government is coordinating plans to hold a tripartite meeting between the US, Australia, and Japan, as well as a bilateral diplomatic meeting between Japan and China, in addition to the Japan-South Korea diplomatic ministers meeting.

Meanwhile, Minister Park visited Japan for the first time on July 18th after taking office, held a meeting with Foreign Minister Hayashi, and discussed pending issues between the 2 countries, including the issue of compensation for forced labor victims. “I look forward to meeting Foreign Minister Hayashi at the ASEAN-related diplomatic ministers’ meeting in Cambodia,” Park said, adding that "the 'shuttle dialogue' between Japan and South Korea will continue."
