Yun Duk-min, who has been appointed as the next Korean ambassador to Japan, met former comfort woman Lee Yong-soo on June 21st.

The next ambassador, Yun, visited the Hium Japanese Army Comfort Women History Museum in Daegu City around 11:00 am on June 21st and met Lee privately.

The next ambassador, Yun, said, "Please be careful for a long time," and Lee said that he would like to make an active effort to resolve the comfort women issue promptly and to apologize from Japan.

On this day, after the interview, the next ambassador, Yun, was asked by a reporter, "What kind of story did you talk about? It was a private place today. I can't speak without prior consent."

On the other hand, Lee told reporters, "I'm going to Japan as an ambassador, so I asked him to solve our problems properly." When asked by a reporter, "Is the government changing and the comfort women issue likely to be solved?", Lee emphasized, "It is the same whether the government changes or not. Anyway, this problem should be solved."

He also said, "I have a heavy responsibility to live, and I can't sleep well these days. I wanted to ask everyone (former comfort woman) to die, but I put up with it. I want you to listen to the wishes of the remaining people."

"Japan is still lying, but I can't fix my behavior. If I apologize, it's over. Even though the world is watching ..."

Meanwhile, on June 7th, the government of Yoon Seok-youn nominated former National Foreign Minister Yun Duk-min as the ambassador to Japan.
