Man who went to police station to look for wallet was arrested as wanted criminal = Korea
A wanted man in his 30s was arrested when he went to the police station to find his wallet.

According to Yonhap News Agency on June 17th, the Seoul Panbe police station arrested Hong, a 31-year-old wanted criminal, in the police station's complaint waiting room at around 6:30 pm on 14th. Class A wanted level means a suspect who has been issued with a detention warrant or arrest warrant.

Hong visited the police station for the first time around 7pm on June 13th after he lost his wallet on a bus registered in the police lost property management system. However, the police officer who was in charge of lost property management was away from his seat on duty. Therefore, police instructed Hong to visit again the next day and then returned.

The next day, the police officer in charge arrived to work heard the fact that Hong had arrived and inquired about his identity using the ID card in the wallet. In the process, he confirmed the fact that Hong was a Class A wanted person who was issued an arrest warrant in January.

Hong, who returned to the police station that afternoon, was then arrested.
