The late Shin Il-ryong was born in 1948. He started his career as a theater actor and made his debut in the movie world in 1970 with the movie "Lee Dynasty Kaidan" directed by Shin Sang-ok. It gained popularity due to its deep facial features, and was active in romance movies and action movies from the 1970s to the mid-1980s. In 1973, he won the 10th Blue Dragon Film Awards Newcomer Acting Award for the movie "Hurray Shima Frog" and the 15th Popular Actor Award for "Arabic Hot Air" in 1976, establishing himself as an actor.
