"Ken Rhee is an operational leader and has a lot of discretion" ... Ukrainian officials encouraged by tweet

A senior Ukrainian government official introduced former Captain Lee Gun, who participated in the war as an international volunteer army against the invasion of Russia, as an "operation leader."

Ukrainian Interior Ministry Assistant Secretary Anton Gerashenko quoted an interview with former Captain Lee Gun on Twitter on May 16th (local time), saying, "Mr. Ken Rhee seems to be a famous blogger (YouTuber) in South Korea. He states that South Korea has banned its citizens from entering Ukraine and they will be arrested if they returns home."

He went on to say, "Ken Lee (US name of Lee Gun) is a former member of the Korean Special Forces and is now a combatant of the Ukrainian International Army. The Ukrainian army operates him for his special operational experience. I heard that he was assigned as a leader and gave him a lot of discretion in the counter-mission of the Russian army", talking about Lee Gun.

He also attached an English article from the Korean media, including an interview with former Captain Lee Gun and the local weekly magazine Novoe Bremya.

In an interview article reported on May 14th (local time), former Captain Lee Gun said, "Because it is illegal to stay in Ukraine in South Korea, I will be arrested at the airport for participating in the war when I return. I receive a lot of official texts from the Ukrainian government, and I hope this helps the trial."
