V & Ko Co., Ltd. concludes MOU with Japanese bio company PROUMED

South Korea's V & Ko Co., Ltd. announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Japanese biotechnology company PROUMED for joint research and diagnostic business promotion of skin microbiota (microorganisms).

PROUMED is a Japanese biodata specialist that collects individual blood, skin microbiomes, etc. based on genetic tests, and is excellent in related fields such as developing a skin diagnosis business using genes with the Japan Cosmetic Ingredients Association. It has proved its business potential and technological capabilities.

This business agreement was signed to promote joint research by collecting female skin microbiota data and analyzing it by V & Ko, utilizing the medical network network owned by both Korea and Japan.

An official of V & Ko said, "It is expected that this joint research will uncover quantitative and scientific data such as characteristics, similarities and differences between Korean and Japanese skin types by skin type. We are aiming for a skin diagnosis and skin disease treatment model business based on the relevant data, but in the medium to long term, we will build a skin biome map for Asians and expand the skin solution business optimized for Asians on a global scale.
