Elon Musk pending acquisition of Twitter? "Prepare for all scenarios"

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal reveals that "we need to be prepared for all scenarios" as Tesla CEO Elon Musk reveals that Twitter's acquisition is pending.

Agrawal said on May 13th (local time) that he "still expects the acquisition to happen" but posted a statement on Twitter that "we need to be prepared for all scenarios", CNBC said.

Earlier, Mr. Musk tweeted, "We will temporarily suspend the acquisition while we are waiting for the concrete basis for the calculation that Twitter spam and fake accounts are less than 5% of users." On the other hand, Twitter's stock price closed at $ 40.72, a sharp drop of 9.69% from the previous trading day.

"I have a responsibility to lead and run Twitter," Agrawal added, "our mission is to create more powerful Twitter every day."
