Actor Kim Hye Soo mourns the late Kang Soo-yeon who died suddenly.

The late Kang Soo-yeon won the 44th Venice International Film Festival Leading Actress Award in 1986 for "The Surrogate Woman" directed by Im Kwon-taek and became the first world star in Korean films. Then, she collected Hot Topic with her acting spirit and won the 16th Moscow International Film Festival Leading Actress Award.

The late Kang Soo-yeon was found in cardiac arrest at her home in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 5th. She was diagnosed with intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) and was treated in the intensive care unit, but failed to regain consciousness and passed away at 3 p.m. on the 7th.
