Singer MC Mong did not declare $70,000 in cash ... caught at airport customs
Singer MC Mong tried to take $70,000 out of South Korea without declaring it, and was caught by customs at Incheon Airport. MC Mong explained this process and apologized.

SBS "SBS 8 News" was handed over to the prosecution on the afternoon of the 13th on suspicion that MC Mong carried $70,000 without declaring it to customs and tried to leave for Los Angeles. "If you carry more than $10,000 in cash and enter or leave the country, you must declare it to the customs, but (MC Mong) violated this" they said. "After the prosecution summoned MC Mong and investigated it soon. The policy is to decide the degree of judicial processing."

In response, MC Mong posted a long comment on Instagram on the same day.

"Three weeks ago, I tried to enter the country with a cost of $70,000 to shoot a documentary of a total of 10 people, including 4 staff and local staff in the United States" he said. "I had to hurry to board the plane." With that in mind, I passed the immigration while receiving service for the first customer. And left $70,000 undeclared mistakenly."

He went on to say, "In the process of the investigation, I explained in detail all the staff costs while traveling, even the record of currency exchange at the bank in my passport, and even the receipt I brought to file. But I didn't have a chance to declare it again. My mistake was already irreparable."

MC Mong apologized, "I admit my mistakes, so please refrain from over-reporting. I fully admit my mistakes and sincerely apologize."
