Netflix "Squid Game" leaks personal phone number ... Production side "Efforts to solve problems"

While the Korean TV series "Squid Game" released on Netflix has been well received, the actual users of the phone numbers appearing in the TV Series are complaining about the damage.

In response, a Netflix official said on the 23rd that "Netflix and Cylon Pictures are both aware of the problem" and "we will work to solve the problem."

In EP1 of "Squid Game", there is a scene where Gong Yoo calls the phone number of a business card received from an unidentified man (Gong Yoo). It's a scene where Gihun communicates his intention to participate in a survival game over the phone.

However, after this scene was released, the person who actually used the phone number complained of the damage. The user revealed through the media that after the "squid game" was released, there was a flood of emails and phone calls that made everyday life difficult.

"Squid Game" is Netflix's original TV Series, a story in which people who participate in a mysterious survival game take on the challenge with a prize of 45.6 billion won (about 4.26 billion yen). After its release on the 17th of this month, it has gained great popularity, having been ranked number one in "Korea's TOP10 Content" and number one in 14 countries including the United States.
