Korean team to operate "feeding center" outside the Olympic Village = "Bento distribution" to athletes who refuse Japanese ingredients
It has been revealed that the Korean team will set up its own "feeding center" in a place other than the Olympic Village in Tokyo and distribute lunch boxes to athletes who refuse Japanese ingredients.

According to the Korean media "Maeil Business Newspaper" the Korean team tried to bring "Korean ingredients" into the Olympic Village because of Japanese "ingredients contaminated with radiation," but the Olympic Village refused. Therefore, they rented out a hotel in Chiba prefecture and operate their own feeding center. The plan is to dispatch cooks and nutritionists from South Korea to make bento boxes and distribute them to athletes who refuse Japanese ingredients.

They explained that they will prepare kimchi and other ingredients that can be brought in from South Korea, but that other ingredients (those that cannot be brought in from abroad) will be carefully inspected for radioactive substances when procured in Japan.

Prior to this, the leader of the Korean team, Shin Ji-young, said, "I tried to avoid what was suspected to be from Fukushima for the Korean national team players participating in the Tokyo Olympics, but in the end, the Olympic Village provided it and we ended up eating it."
