Elementary school students at the wheel ... Stealing an electric car, driving fast and even causing an accident = South Korea
Police have caught four teens who ran away after causing an accident while driving a stolen electric car.

South Korea's Daejeon Yuseong Police Station has arrested sixth grader A (12), second grader B (14), and two third graders on suspicion of special theft.

They are suspected of stealing an electric car that was being charged at a parking lot near a residential area in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon around 4:30 am the day before and fleeing.

At that time, A was driving with three people, and after dropping off the two third-year middle school students near Yuseong Hot Spring Station on the Daejeon subway, B continued to drive without a license.

A's speeding finally stopped after he crashed into a billboard in front of a gas station in Oesam-dong, Yuseong-gu.

The police, who were dispatched after receiving the report, arrested A at the scene, arrested B, who fled immediately after the accident, and arrested the remaining two passengers at a Jjimjilbang (Korean-style super public bath) in Pongmyong-dong, Yuseong-gu.

They all told police that they had committed the crime out of "curiosity."

As soon as the investigation is over, the police plan to send the two junior high school students to the prosecution. The plan is to take protective measures such as sending A and B, who are criminal juveniles, to a juvenile training school.
