Ahead of the US-South Korea combined exercises scheduled for the end of this month, it appears that the US is trying to raise tensions to the maximum and use it as a pretext for provocation.
According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), an expanded meeting of the Central Military Commission was held at the headquarters of the Workers' Party Central Committee on the 9th. "At the meeting, General Secretary Kim made a deep analysis of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and made a programmatic conclusion regarding the military's aggressive preparations for war," the Korean Central News Agency reported.
General Secretary Kim said, "A strong military is the basis for the Central Party's military strategic efforts to suppress the enemy's military use in advance and to eliminate all forms of enemy offensive behavior in the event of a war. is to be prepared."
He also said, "The mission of munitions factories is extremely important in strengthening the military and technology of the People's Army. We must push forward in earnest the struggle to mass-produce arms and equipment."
"At the meeting, we analyzed the military movements of the main culprits of the deteriorating situation that are destroying the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula region, and decided on an offensive military response plan to thoroughly check it," the KCNA said.
North Korea's latest meeting appears to have been held as the second former, which is preparing a response plan ahead of the US-South Korea joint exercises scheduled for August 21st-24th.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) also reported that a private military parade was planned to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the government (September 9th).
