CNN broadcast on August 4th (local time) reported that parents around the world are raising their voices in anger over the Jamboree competition, which will be held for more than 10 days.
According to CNN, when many young people suffer from heatstroke, concerned parents send out messages on social media demanding that the organizers reprimand the event and suspend the event.
On this day, one foreign parent posted on social media, "I heard that my son slept on the floor without a tent or cot at the jamboree (during the heat wave)."
Parents of Spanish nationality exploded in anger, saying, "My daughter participated in the event, but I heard that there was almost nothing to block the sun's light."
CNN has now reached out to the jamboree organizers for a response to the parents' comments, but has not yet received a response from the organizers to such complaints.
It added, "The organizers don't seem to be paying attention to requests to suspend the jamboree."
Jamboree is a global youth camp held by the World Scout Federation. About 39,304 people gathered from 158 countries around the world. According to the Jamboree Organizing Committee, 28 COVID-19 patients were found at the campsite until the day before the start of the tournament, and 1,486 people visited hospitals near the jamboree on the previous day. Of these, 383 had insect bites, 250 had skin rashes, and 138 had heatstroke.
