Korean FL Meet U.S. and Korean Female Soldiers

South Korean First Lady Kim Geon-hee told US and South Korean female soldiers on July 19th, "When you see first-hand the horrific situation on the ground in Ukraine as a female soldier, you will realize the importance of peace even more."

A spokeswoman for the South Korean presidential office reported that Kim had a chat with US and South Korean female soldiers at the Navy Glove of the Naval Operations Command that afternoon and mentioned her recent visit to Ukraine.

Mrs.Kim expressed her gratitude to the soldiers, saying, "Seeing you who carry out your duties in your own position based on the sense of mission to 'protect the sea' and the sensibility and strength unique to women, I am very grateful."

She also encouraged them by saying, "You are a daughter of a proud nation," and asked, "I hope you will continue to work hard on the front lines for the sake of your country and peace."
