China's Sichuan wildfires broke out May 30th "still unabated" ... 15 hectares of burned area = Chinese coverage
A wildfire broke out in Guangze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province around 9:00 am (local time) on May 30th. The local weather is dry and windy, and the steep slope of the burning site is complicating firefighting efforts.

There is one village and one temple near the fire site, but 126 people from 22 households in the area have already evacuated to a safe place, and no casualties have been reported.

By around 9:00 pm on the 30th, nearly 1,000 firefighters and other firefighters were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Work resumed at 3:00 a.m. on March 31st after the wind subsided, but there are still no prospects for the fire to be extinguished. An estimated 15 hectares have been burned so far.

The local fire department said it will continue to fight the fire with additional personnel.
