The prosecution has filed an appeal while a member of a former male idol group was sentenced to imprisonment and suspended sentence in the first trial on suspicion of sexually assaulting a same-sex member of the same group.

On June 2nd, a prosecutor official said, "The defendant repeatedly molesting and raping the victim for a long period of time, and the victim ended up leaving the group. The damage is serious. He has denied the allegations, and after comprehensively considering the fact that he did not show any serious remorse, we decided that he should receive a more severe punishment."

"The prosecution will do its best to ensure that the defendant is punished in accordance with his crime at the appeal trial," the official said.

According to the prosecution, Defendant A was accused of forcibly indecent acting to same-sex member B several times in the dormitory and practice room from 2017 to 2021. During the trial, the defendant admitted to the charge of indecent assault, but denied the charge of similar rape.

The court sentenced the defendant to two years and six months in prison, suspended for three years, and ordered him to attend 80 hours of sexual violence treatment classes.
