Army soldier smokes marijuana with e-cigarette ... colleague reports = South Korea
A soldier in an army unit near Seoul, South Korea, was caught by military police for smoking cannabis using a cannabis e-liquid.

According to the South Korean Army on the 27th, private first class A was caught smoking marijuana liquid in the unit in December last year. The military police continued to investigate A and recently indicted him.

A often smoked alone and showed unnatural behaviour, such as not being able to speak clearly when he came in for a cigarette. As a result, his colleagues, who became suspicious, reported the incident and he was arrested.

Military police believe that A brought cannabis liquid with him when he returned from a sleepover.

Meanwhile, the military prosecutor's office decided that an investigation into A's custody was necessary and applied for an arrest warrant, but the military court rejected the request on the grounds that there was no fear of destroying evidence and escaping.

The military prosecution issued an indictment without detention against A on suspicion of violating the drug control law before and after his enlistment. A, who is scheduled to be discharged next month, will be tried in a general court in the future.

To date, no other soldiers in the unit have been involved in drug crimes, according to the results of the investigation.

In addition, the army says, "We recognize that bringing drugs into the military is a serious matter, and we continue to make various efforts to crack down on drugs, such as designating specialized investigation units and carrying out unannounced inspections."
