North Korea condemns US-South Korea combined fire extinguishing exercises to mark 70th anniversary of US-South Korea alliance
North Korea has taken aim at the US-South Korea coalition and joint fire-fighting drills to be held next week to mark the 70th anniversary of the US-South Korea alliance, accusing "Yun Sok-yeol (Yun Seok-yeol) retards and puppet military gangsters are taking the lead in making noise according to the war script put together by the US imperialists".

On May 19th, the Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers' Party of North Korea, published a report titled "Where will the end of the constant war-mongering tactics end? What kind of shameless talk is 'destruction training' again?"

The US and South Korea will conduct five rounds of combined firepower strikeout exercises at the Gyeonggi-do, Pocheon, and Sungjin scientific training grounds from Dec. 25 to Dec. 15. Core weapons such as F-35A stealth fighters, AH-64 attack HYERI copters, K-2 tanks and K21 armored vehicles will participate in the training.

Regarding this, the newspaper said, "For about 20 days of such dangerous war exercises, and in an area just a few kilometers away from our front lines, we are frantically developing and trying to shoot. We have to take it even more seriously."

They also warned that "we are watching every military move of the hostile forces that severely disrupt and threaten the security environment of the Korean Peninsula and the region" and that "the frenzied nuclear war racket of the US and its puppet warlords is bound to bring about a corresponding response".
