Nurses on streets denounced President Yoon Seo-yeol, who rejected the nursing law, by organizing a general election planning team to referee = Korea
Nurses protesting against President Yoon Seok-yul's exercise of the right to veto the nursing law accused the People's Power (the ruling party) and the government of spreading false facts about the bill.

On the afternoon of May 19th, the Korean Nursing Association held a 'pan-national condemnation meeting to denounce the veto of the nursing law and eradicate corrupt politics' in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul.

The nurses and nursing students who participated in the rally that day announced that they would judge the politicians and bureaucrats who reached the presidential veto, and marched on the streets.

In a statement, the Nursing Association said, "The National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee has already prepared an alternative bill that reflects the demands and concerns of each occupational sector, and 179 lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties voted in favor of it and passed the plenary session. Nevertheless, the power of the people and the Ministry of Health and Welfare proposed to the president a veto based on the false allegations of the opposition group."

They said, "The nursing bill has been sent to the National Assembly again due to the president's veto, but it is not easy to expect it to be voted again. We will definitely judge the bureaucrats."

At the rally that day, the inauguration ceremony of the 16 city and provincial general election planning teams was also held.

In the declaration of the establishment of the general election planning team, the association said, "We will judge those who created a false frame of legislative monopoly and those who abandoned national affairs activities by proposing the nursing law as representatives so that they cannot become representatives of the people again."

Through the planning team, the association plans to have each nurse join one political party and campaign against corrupt politicians.

Nurses protesting President Yoon Seok-yeol's exercise of veto power launched an annual leave struggle on this day. However, it is not known how many nurses participated in the annual leave struggle.

The Nursing Association has created a list of tasks that would be illegal if performed by nurses, distributed them to medical institutions, and urged nurses to participate in the struggle to comply with the law.

They argued that until now, it was customary for nurses to perform medical acts on behalf of nurses under the Medical Care Act according to the instructions of doctors, instead of doing the work of nurses. They have made it clear that he will fight to comply with the law.

On the afternoon of the previous day, the Nursing Association announced on its homepage that it had also established an 'illegal medical center' where people could report 'illegal medical practices' using a QR code.

According to an association official, as soon as the reporting center opened the day before, it was flooded with reports, and there was a situation where the server went down in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
